Cat started dancing at an after school club with a local dance school at the age of 6 years old. Over this time she trained in freestyle, jazz, street & lyrical taking more than 16 IDTA exams and as an amateur Cat accumulated a huge amount of achievements including performing numerous times in the West End at Sadlers Wells, Her Majesty’s Theatre & The Royal albert Hall in London as well as being awarded the highest mark of the school (98%) in her star 5 IDTA exam by the renowned Miss Anna Jones of the IDTA.
Cat took her IDTA Pre-Associate at age 16 gaining 94% and in 2008 gained her full IDTA Associate Qualification achieving 96% in her teaching exam and being nominated for the very prestigious IDTA John Dilworth Scholarship Award for the outstanding excellence and teaching ability shown in her professional teaching exam.
After that she had the privilege of choreographing professional performances at The Birmingham Symphony Hall, Sadlers Wells London & The Royal Albert hall along with training hundreds of students for their IDTA exams and local performances and at 22 commenced Latin American dance classes, bringing her own fusion of Latin and freestyle into her teaching abilities.
Cat taught professionally as a freelance dance teacher for more than 5 years before being presented with the opportunity to open her own school, and in 2014 Euphoria Dance was born.
Since opening Euphoria Cat has entered hundreds of children for their IDTA exams, received more than 50 IDTA freestyle nominations for her students, been contracted to professionally choreograph for The Lowry Manchester, Sadlers Wells London & The Birmingham Hippodrome, Adjudicated at numerous dance competitions and now successfully runs her own midlands based dance competition & events company, Supreme Dance Events UK, alongside running Euphoria.
Cats love for dance as an art, teaching & choreography is evident in the passion that her students now present and she couldn’t be prouder to be principal.
